The Election Committee is pleased to announce that the following posts will be open for nomination and election on September 28th, 2021:
Members in Good Standing who are nominated must be.
Those interested in running for these positions should fill out the nomination form and submit it to Mr. Abdella Abdella or Mr. Faisal Aziz either by scanned copy to (electioncommittee@iasmoosejaw.com) or in person to Mr. Abdella or Mr. Faisal Aziz on September 23rd to 26th, 2021, directly after Maghrib and Isha Prayer in the Mosque. The application deadline is September 26th, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
On September 27th, 2021, we will publish the names of those who have submitted nominations for board election.
Please note that no application will be considered after the deadline for submitting nominations has passed. A nomination form that is not completed will be rejected as well.
On September 28th, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., an election will be conducted at the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAOS) in Moose Jaw, 73 Lancaster Road, Moose Jaw – Saskatchewan.
The results of the election will be announced during the IAOS Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The IAOS-Moose Jaw Board would like to inform all brothers and sisters that Eid Al-Adha will be on Tuesday, July 20th 2021. There are will be two groups of prayer times :
Group 1: 7:45 am – 8:00 am
Group 2: 8:15 am – 8:30 am
Eid and Jumaah Prayer Guidelines for the safety of the community against continuing Covid-19 Infection:
The IAOS-Moose Jaw’s Board decided to continue with the following guidelines to protect the Muslim community against Covid-19 virus variants infection.
On June 07, 2021, a heinous act took the life of four members of a Muslim family while seriously injuring one in London, Ontario driven by hate and islamophobia. The Islamic Association of Saskatchewan, Moose jaw (IAOS-Moose Jaw) mourns with the family and condemns this terrorist attack. IAOS-Moose Jaw calls upon political leaders of all parties to take concrete steps towards addressing the root causes of such hate crime and make Canada a place where people because of their Islamic faith do not feel scared and terrorized.
